Longwood salary lookup

Annual pay rates for Longwood University's salaried employees in four state snapshots: FY2023, January 2024, FY2025, and FY2026. Search by name or position, then pick people to chart their pay over time.

An independent analysis of public records, not an official publication of Longwood University. Figures are annual pay rates as of each snapshot date and may contain errors.

Pay is the annual rate on the snapshot date: state salary plus non-state pay (for the president, the supplement the board of visitors approves from private gifts, endowment, or foundation funds) plus special pay. Stipends for department chairs, program directors, and similar roles are included in the rate; summer salary is not. Bonuses, overloads, and adjunct, student, and hourly wage pay are not included. See Data sources.

Reading the numbers

People are matched across snapshots by name, so someone whose name changed shows up as two people. Each snapshot is a rate on one date, not pay received during the year. Categories come from the state job code: faculty hold a plain academic rank; administrative and professional faculty hold "Administrative" or "Professional" job codes; classified covers state classified staff and police. The dashed gray lines are Longwood's median pay for the rank of each person shown.

Data sources

State salary tables. The Virginia Department of Accounts keeps a statewide table of every salaried state employee: name, position title, job code, and state, non-state, and special pay rates. Four releases were used: FY2023 (released October 2023), January 30, 2024, and FY2025 and FY2026 (released February 2026).

Public-records requests. The tables were obtained under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, which requires public bodies to release employees' names, positions, and salaries (Code of Virginia § 2.2-3705.1), through requests filed on MuckRock: State of Virginia Salaries 2023, State of Virginia Salaries 2024, and State of Virginia Salaries 2025 & 2026.
